Top of the Kaimai: Henderson Tramlines 

An excellent opportunity to reach the Kaimai Ridge Track via the North Henderson Tramline for great views of Waikato and BOP. Lunch at the historical Hurunui Hut (time permitting) and then return via the alternative West Henderson Tramway. Good tracks, includes easy gradual climb up to about 140m, An A grade tramp requiring reasonable fitness. About 5 to 6 hr tramp including stops. Chance of a dip at one of the waterfalls and an ice cream on the way home.
