A chan ce to get up close and photograph some of natures little wonders πŸ„\nBring a camera or fully charged phone and wrap up warm.\n \;\nUpdate &\; Details\nWe plan to meet usual place – Mill Lane – 8 am prompt! It will ta ke less than an hour to get to our starting point. We set off on the Te Ta pui Track – it is a loop track\, and we will be taking the longer route up to Maungakawa Lookout (lovely views at the top). The track takes us up a gradual incline\, with a couple of grunts to get to the top. We plan to ha ve lunch there and then make our way down the faster route back to the van . We are on the hunt for fungi\, brown\, yellow\, orange\, white\, red\, h opefully the elusive blue fungi – so there is no rush today.\nNot a long d ay – we should be back at the vehicles within 4 hours. On the way back\, w e will pop into Matangi to have a beer or mulled wine or coffee +/- pizza and some free entertainment - so bring your cards or cash.\nWeather foreca st at this stage\, 7 mls of rain overnight\, sunny during the day – this w ill change of course. As mentioned – its not a long walk – we don’t plan o n cancelling if we can help it!\nWhat to bring: Warm clothes to leave in t he van just in case it does get wet.
