  and driving for 1.5hrs to the end of Appletree Rd in the Waitomo district
 .\nThis relatively easy loop track to the Tawarau falls in one of our favo
 urite areas starts from the carpark at the road end and will take about 4h
 rs.\nIt follows the meandering Tawarau river through a pretty\, mossy lime
 stone gorge with some small waterfalls of side streams.\nA bridge leads to
  the other side of the river\, then a couple of river crossings follow bef
 ore a descent with help of a chain to the base of the falls. Climbing back
  up and continue the track until it meets the Double Falls track.\nThen ba
 ck to the carpark and return to Hamilton expected to be around 3pm.\n&nbsp
