 This is a good tramp\, especially if you have never stayed in our closest 
 DOC hut. It's a nice modern hut\, no fire\, but well insulated and it gets
  all the afternoon sun.\nIt's about 4-5hr up with stops at the lookout poi
 nts and the summit tower. Nice views over the Waikato. About the same time
  for the return trip but we will come down on a different track.\nPirongia
  always offers varied terrain-- ups/downs/tree roots/ muddy patches/ some 
 scrambles and a couple of chains to make it interesting.\n10 bunks have be
 en pre booked.\n&nbsp\;\n(Bookings Open 5 September and close 29 September
